Chrome open downloaded file instead of save

Generally however, I don't believe there's an option for that in Chrome. That said, all it takes is a _one click_ on the button on the bottom of the screen to open the document. Chrome automatically downloads the file and forces the user to save it somewhere which then "unlinks" the document from the SharePoint library.
